Tutoring Policy – JLB Tutoring

At JLB Tutoring, my mission is to help students grow in math mastery, confidence, and faith. These policies are in place to ensure a respectful, productive, and protected learning environment for both families and myself.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited without refund.

  • Students who are more than 15 minutes late may have their session canceled.

No-Shows

  • No-shows are non-refundable and non-reschedulable.

Package Expirations

  • Packages expire based on their size (60–180 days).

  • Sessions must be used before the expiration date.

Technology Expectations

  • Sessions are hosted via Microsoft Teams.

  • Families are responsible for having a stable internet connection.

  • Sessions will not be extended due to tech issues on the student’s end.

Academic Progress & Testing

  • Tutoring supports growth in understanding and homework/class success.

  • However, test performance can vary due to anxiety or external factors.

  • I am not responsible for test scores or performance outcomes.

Student Conduct

  • Students must be respectful, cooperative, and focused.

  • Disruptive behavior (disrespect, refusal to work, foul language) will be documented.

  • A warning will be issued to the parent.

    • Minor behavior: one additional chance may be given.

    • Serious or repeated issues may result in dismissal without refund.

Refunds & Transfers

  • All sessions and packages are non-refundable once booked.

  • Unused sessions may be transferred to a sibling with prior approval.

Academic Data Use

  • By booking, you grant permission to track the student’s academic growth and use de-identified data for improvement purposes.

  • This supports my mission to serve with excellence and help other students thrive.
